Live the Magic
We are only as strong as we are united

"On this day, the thirteenth of June of the year two thousand and thirty four, in the spirit of honesty, safety and the equality of all mankind, the magical population and the non-magical population will no longer remain hidden from one another, but will be unified as one. Rather than withholding from one another, we today take a step toward a better future, as the union of two such extraordinary cultures and resources promises a betterment in quality of life for all. This statute applies to every living being that is capable of thinking and reasoning for itself. Either Discrimination or Deceptiveness in respect to the statute are both considered the highest form of noncompliance in all countries involved, and are punishable as treason. Every world leader, both magical and non-magical, have signed this statute in agreement that Transparency between the respective communities of the world is the best path toward knowledge and peace."

Tabenner Baumann

Jane Baumann (First Name Open)
Age: 11
Gender: Female
Year: First
House: Open
Faceclaim: Open
History: Much of Jane’s history is open. She grew up the sixth of six children to a jewish muggle family living in rural Britain and was raised by two loving parents, a doting mother and a tough-as-nails father. Her father was very sporty and old-fashioned, while her mother was a notorious gossiper with a tendency to embarrass her children with her over-bearing nature as well as her loud mouth. Most of her siblings, barring Tabs, were quite a rowdy bunch and more often than not took more after their father than their mother. They, including Jane, often teased Tabs and they probably would have playfully teased Jane as well. Tabs was her only magical sibling and her magical powers did not bloom until she was upset with him at the age of five or six when she accidentally sent him flying across a plain breaking his arm. She is now a first year at Hogwarts and her older muggle sibling is also attending. How she feels about all of this is up to you and how she handles it is up to you.

Personality: Jane is still very young and has a lot of growing up to do. She takes after her father in the athletics department and does indeed love sports quite a bit. She’s loud, boisterous and exceedingly, unfathomably stubborn. She also has a tendency to tease other people. Sure she does it jokingly, but it isn’t too far-fetched that she could go too far. Lord knows she has embarrassed Tabs more than once in the past. Speaking of Tabs, she does look up to her older brother quite a bit, though she probably isn’t the type to show that through love and affection, but rather playful teasing. Tabs doesn’t quite understand that she looks up to him and more often than not is embarrassed by her. After all, having a little sister who is stronger than you, sportier than you and gets along better with your manly father than you is somewhat embarrassing. Especially when said little sister is also magical and can easily beat you in arm wrestling. At the end of the day, she is a light-hearted, albeit stubborn girl with a love for pranks, has immense pride (especially when it comes to sports and her physical prowess) and a deep, unconditional love for her family. Even if they sometimes get on her nerves. Okay, a lot of the time.

Misc.: Her magical prowess could go in a number of different ways such as her not being very good at magic and perhaps needing help. Maybe being a bit jealous of how easy it comes for Tabs. Perhaps she has a prodigious talent for magic that makes Tabs feel even more insecure, but she tries so hard because she wants his approval or something? He’s the only magical person she knew before attending Hogwarts and is her older brother after all. On the other hand, her feelings towards magic can be very conflicted. Her father, whom she was very close to due to their love for sports, was always wary of magic and, being incredibly old-fashioned, did not particularly like it as a means of getting things done often looking at it as lazy as to him it seemingly took no effort. Their father did not take part much in the magical aspect of his children’s lives if he could help it. Maybe her magic drew them apart a bit? On the other hand, her first use of magic ended up severely hurting her brother Tabs a great deal, going as far as to put him in a cast. Perhaps she’s afraid that she will hurt others with her magic and fears it a bit?

I’m totally up for this character to go a lot of different ways from boisterous first year with a knack for magic and a fire in her eyes to a young cautious first year terrified she will hurt someone with her magic like she did her brother years ago. If you have any ideas, you can PM me, catch me in the C-box or reply here.

John/Jane Baumann (hence referred to as J.J. for convenience, first name is open)
Age: 14-17 years old
Gender: Open
Year: 4th-7th
Faceclaim: Open
History: J.J.’s history is even more open than their younger sisters. She was raised in rural Britain, is Jewish, is a muggle and was raised by a doting mother and a tough-as-nails, old-fashioned father, both of whom deeply loved their children. J.J., much like her other siblings, often teased Tabs quite a bit and he is very easily embarrassed and flustered by J.J. like he is with his other siblings. J.J. was not born necessarily in rural Britain, but did move there at a young age after Tabs was born due to Tabs’ magical powers. J.J. was chosen as one of the muggles that would be going to Hogwarts.

Misc.: This character is basically entirely open. Her opinion on the Wizarding World can go in many different ways. Perhaps s/he’s scared of it. Maybe J.J.’s jealous of her/his magical siblings. S/He could be angry with it given s/he had to grow up in rural Britain because her/his siblings were magical. Everything from personality to the large part of their history is entirely flexible. If you wish to talk about the character you can often find me in the c-box, but you can also PM me or reply below.

P.S. It would be incredibly amiss of me not to mention that their mother is an incredibly embarrassing mother with no filter on her loud, gossiping mouth. And she just found out that Howlers exist. She has beens ending them as if they are normal letters. >:D
