We are only as strong as we are united

THE INTERNATIONAL STATUTE OF TRANSPARENCY

"On this day, the thirteenth of June of the year two thousand and thirty four, in the spirit of honesty, safety and the equality of all mankind, the magical population and the non-magical population will no longer remain hidden from one another, but will be unified as one. Rather than withholding from one another, we today take a step toward a better future, as the union of two such extraordinary cultures and resources promises a betterment in quality of life for all. This statute applies to every living being that is capable of thinking and reasoning for itself. Either Discrimination or Deceptiveness in respect to the statute are both considered the highest form of noncompliance in all countries involved, and are punishable as treason. Every world leader, both magical and non-magical, have signed this statute in agreement that Transparency between the respective communities of the world is the best path toward knowledge and peace."

She's got a lion in her heart and a fire in her soul.
She is fierce as a future Auror should be, yet an Auror is not what she wants to be. She will go to the ends of the Earth to be sure that her loved ones are never harmed and always protected. She is loyal, brave and a bit mischievous and beyond all else, she has a natural beauty like no other.

26 September 2035, Late Evening

if you want to be a lion
It was one of the rare nights that Astrid was alone, mostly because Matthew and Ari were together and Duncan had come down with a cold and asked her to stay clear in fear she would catch the illness once more. It had caused her enough issues the last time and she didn’t want to go through that again so she agreed and stayed in the common room that evening. Curfew was nearing meaning she’d be going to bed soon, which was fine she was exhausted. Studying seemed to do that to people though, exhaust them and Merlin knows that was what Astrid had been doing a lot of lately. Like now.

Astrid was curled up on one of the large oversized armchairs, book in her lap. Perseus was content laying at her side, his soft purrs vibrating the cushion. Astrid had been focusing on Herbology the most because it was her most hated subject next to Potions and she didn’t want to have to ask Ari for help, even if she had been doing decently well in it. Astrid looked around the common room, she was mostly alone apart from a girl she didn’t know. “Any idea what the plant for the OWL project could be?” Astrid looked up to the brunette, wondering if she were older than her. She looked like she could be but that didn’t mean she wasn’t in the same year. She had come to find out that ages in years didn’t matter because birthdays fell year round which caused issues for young witches and wizards starting Hogwarts.

Astrid had been lucky enough to have her birthday fall before September first but Duncan and Matthew had to wait an extra year before they had turned eleven and she assumed that probably sucked. She couldn’t imagine being the oldest of her class, but then again she was currently the youngest and that wasn’t too bad. “I’m aiming to get a head start, so I don’t fail miserably.” Astrid added, unsure if the girl had even heard her or cared. She set the book down for a moment, tired of reading and placed Perseus on her lap, a meow of disapproval before her pets had settled him down once more.

Herbology would probably have to be Andrea's favorite magical subject. Not that it was hard to be Andrea's favorite, as she could only sit and watch in most of the other subjects, but in Herbology she could actually touch the plants, take care of them. She enjoyed being included in something, though she'd never admit it to one of the magical people that roamed the halls of Hogwarts. On this particular study break, Andrea had decided to stay in the Gryffindor Common room, one of the only calming places in the castle in Andi's opinion.

She was sitting on one of the fluffy scarlet chairs, her Herbology book open on her lap. She had been rather interested in the Mandrake, not because the cry of one could kill someone (though, that was pretty cool), but because of the healing properties it had. A mature mandrake could be made into an antidote for petrification. According to Andi's DADA book petrification was when someone is practically frozen, though there is no spell to fix it.

Andi was pulled from her reading when someone nearby asked a question, though she did not look up. Usually wizards didn't ask muggles about magical tests, so Andi didn't think she was talking to her. However, when Andrea felt the other girl's eyes on her, she looked up to see she was indeed talking to her.

"How should I know?" Andi asked, quirking an eyebrow at the girl. "I only learned there was such thing as O.W.Ls this year, not to mention the entire wizarding world," Andi said, leaning against the back of the armchair she was in. Perhaps this girl didn't know that Andi was a muggle, but if she didn't she definitely did now.
