Alex has a lot of those. People that he's just meet and doesn't care of. Actually, almost 90% of the people he knows are such. Sometimes, people would think that he is their friend but in reality, he doesn't consider them such. And some people might hate him but he's only acting neutral towards them. With some people he may interact so he can find out more information about the Wizarding World. He is certainly writing a research paper on how magic is really just a new branch of physics just waiting to be discovered and wants to use the paper as a free entrance to any muggle university out there.

For Alexander to consider you close enough to be a friend, you'll need a lot of things. He usually looks for someone smart though that's the least serious from all. He also prefers someone with an open mind and who would listen to any theories he has. It also needs to be someone that could keep up with his sarcasm and be alright with award silence, though
it probably wouldn't be awkward from him. In case he ever tells you the reason as to why he arrived at Hogwarts, you'll know he considers you a friend.

To become an enemy of Alex is harder than becoming his friend, mostly because he just doesn't care about those things. Though there are two things that would make him at least annoyed by someone - being close minded and ignorant. He would consider anyone who prefers to memorise rather than think as a bore. And anyone who believes they are great or will be great are annoying. He prefers actions, not promises. There are probably more things that could tick him but they still aren't found out yet, from his lack of social contacts.

This is certainly closed.

Hello, fellow LTM-ers who are reading this report. Today we shall get into the character Alexander Muireadhach, an intriguing young boy. We will find what makes him tick, what his personality is, what made him him. For that, I have examined not only him as a character but I have also took in consideration his family and their history, his early life and any close friends I might have found. I'll say that the results were quite interesting!

Introduction

Before we even get to my examinations, however, let us at least learn a bit about our character himself. Alexander was named after the great ruler, Alexander the Great! Or the
Macedon, if you are Macedonian. His surname is one part of him that he loves, not because of it's meaning but because it's absurd. Actually, he probably doesn't even know what it means. But for the interested readers, it means 'lord'. Some say it's 'lord of the sea' but the sea is the last thing you would connect Alexander to.

As for his looks, that's an interesting question. The thing that most people would notice first is his hair. Dark, almost to black. A bit longer than usually expected. And rarely brushed. He absolutely hates to deal with brushing his hair, sometimes from laziness but mostly because he prefers not to waste any amount of time.

As for his eyes, they are a dark brown. Often, no, not often, always there would be some bags under them.
Unlike most people, Alexander actually likes that he has bags, as he considers it proof of his great mind and sleepless nights of thinking.

At the end of this introduction, I'll simply tell you to hold on and get ready to see just what kind of mad man this kid is.

Methods

The first thing we shall explore in this report is the question concerning what made him him. So, it seemed most correct to see the people who have, well, made him. Below I shall explain who are his two parents, their life and how they met.
The father is named Concobhar. For all the non-Irish around, that's just Conor. His father is a very intelligent man who would stand by what he believes in. Had the Irish War of Independence been today, he would have fought. Okay, he might have not fought but he definitely would help make weapons or plan. This is an idea that he always tells around friends when they mention how stubborn he is. In reality, he works as a physician and deals with thing only physicians would understand. I would go into detail but we would get away from the topic.

The mother, who's full name used to be Lamiya Gujiça. She is probably is the most non-Bosnian Bosniak but that is what you get for naming her after snakes twice. She is stubborn. And because of the stubbornness, she went to live in Ireland. Unlike her
husband, who would die to fight in a war, Lamiya had one right under her nose. She used that war to escape from Bosnia, actually. It's from her that Alexander gets his hair, eyes and name.

The two met randomly. Sadly, I didn't manage to find much about their first meeting. But the story that they give to their friends is that they met while trying to find a job, Conor as someone who just graduated and Lamiya as someone who just immigrated. If anyone has more information, they may add it to their own report about this fellow.

By the way, both of his parents are atheists. Technically, the Irish should be Christian and the Bosniak - Muslim but that was the thing that attracted them to one another. And probably what allowed them to marry as well.
The lack of religion of the two is something that defies Alexander a lot, if not the most. Had they not been such, he would never be the kid that he is at the moment.

But we'll get to that in a few paragraphs, when we discuss the results.

Now, onto Alexander's life.

The boy was born on December the 5th in Kilkenny, a county and town in the south-east of Ireland. He was born fully healthy and was out of the hospital as soon as possible.

From childhood one could see he was unusual. He always preferred building blocks than cars as a toy. He seemed observant as a toddler, even though toddlers weren't. He began to walk quickly, not even a one year old. And
talking came just as easily.

It almost seemed as if he jumped baby talk. The first time he talked, he only spoke for about a week before fully shutting himself. Then, after a month or two, he talked well, being able to at least for sentences.

As a lid, he liked to use longer words. At that time he knew words such as 'atrocious', 'negligent' or 'punctuality'. Sometimes he would use the wrong word but even then he liked how impresses adults seemed to be at his ability. Not to mention, most never seemed to notice as they probably didn't even know the word.

Now, though, Alexander seems to prefer to use more simpler words rather than complex, saying 'Why shouldn't I explain simply when I can?'. He was most likely influenced from
his Physics teacher, Clarita Galway.

We should probably explain who she is. Clarita Galway is a women around her fifties who acts as Alexander's second mother. He always tells her what is on his mind. She has token him under her arm because she had noticed the potential his brain has. For years, she has taught him in the art of physics, preparing him to become a great scientist one day.

His childhood was rather dull. He had no friends not because no one wanted to befriend him but because he was not interested in having friends. No one seemed to actually understand him. As a child he would simply stay and watch from far away, as he always knew that he wouldn't fit in with their play. He solved puzzles, they played hide and seek. No one would be enough like him.
Of course, that simply allowed him to study beforehand. His father would always explain to him anything science related. By the end of kindergarten, Alexander could sum and multiple a few numbers. His mother tried to teach him about literature but Alexander refused to remember, saying that it was 'boring' and 'useless'.

When he was 5, he got a sister.

That sister of his was his full opposite.
She never had the brain burst he had as a child. Though she still was smart, she was too weird, too smiley for Alexander. As she grew older, she grew the love towards literature that he lacked. Yet, she also tried to study what their father taught them, though she wasn't as good as Alexander.
That annoyed him. For him, she was acting stupid. He thought she was wasting her time.

In school it was the same. Though he always passed with flying marks, his best scores were always in science and worst were in literature, art, music and gym.

He continued the isolation he had from other students. That was, until Clarita began to teach him. Then he became friends with her daughter. However, she was three years younger than him. As much as he liked her, they couldn't be very close. Then again, Alexander did not care at all about the social norms, so he befriended her anyway.

This is basically his history. Now that we have that down, let's see how exactly all this reflected onto his personality.

Results/Discussion

In this report, I will write them as one, as I will need to explain all my conclusions and it would be useless to repeat the same thing.

First things first, Alexander is a huge introvert. He finds social contact as useless and always needs time to be alone after a hard day of being surrounded by people. The only person he can resist is his father and Clarita, though he prefers the latter because she trusts in his own mind to figure things out.

In addition, he has an ego. A huge one. And he doesn't hide it. He knows he is amazing and no one can tell him otherwise, enough people have complimented him for him to know.

With his ego comes egoism and the need to self preserve. Alexander will always look at his own interests first, as he is the one who is important. If he had to chose between dying to save someone and saving himself, he'd pick the latter. Either way, one would die and he preferred if it wasn't him.

Alexander loves irony. Anything weird that happens, or unusual, or contradicting is something brilliant in the eyes of Alexander. Actually, that was the biggest reason he wanted to join Slytherin, the house that hates muggles. Because everything was so much more interesting when the most unusual thing happened. Or unexpected. The irony was kind of ruined with the second chosen muggle Slytherin, though.
Alexander is disorganised. He hates to waste time with organising things that he would just take away when the time comes anyway. It was a waste of time and that was something Alexander hated. Time used for nothing, or for nothing of importance. If every great scientist took half an hour every day to organise everything, who knows if they would manage to actually find what they wanted to find.

As you've all probably gathered, Alexander Muireadhach is a unique and strange person. A mind of brilliance that is, as every brilliant and young mind, underestimated. Thank you for reading my report! -

Hello, headmaster of Hogwarts, who I shall call You during this letter.

My name is Alexander Muireadhach and I would like to join Hogwarts. Why, exactly? I can't really say all my reasons, of course, but some of them are these. I believe Hogwarts to be an interesting place that I would like to understand more about! I'm a future physician, so learning about this world came as a shock to me. But that is why I now want to explore more about the world of magic! If accepted, I'll definitely read into Gaelic mytholog, it must be interesting.

With hopes to be a future student,

Lifting the pen of the paper, he turned to his tutor, who was looking at the letter with her usual sceptical look.

"What do you think of this version? Do you think there are enough exclamation marks to seem as if I'm excited and formal enough not to seem like an idiot? " he asked her when he was sure she'd thought through everything.

"Honestly, with exclamations marks, you usually seem foolish from another brilliant eye. I doubt that the headmaster is that brilliant, though, so this seems perfect." Afterwards, she smiled slightly. "With this, you are sur
to enter!" She exclaimed. Alexander laughed.

"Yeah, you're probably right!... You should try as well, I'm sure they'd love to pick you as the non magical teacher for physics." He said, frowning a bit. Clarita sighed.

"I have a kid, Alexander."

"They'll take her in as well, the place is literally a castle!" Clarita chuckled.

"Alright, alright, I'll think about it, that I promise you. I want to see how you'll do alone, though! After all, this work might as well be your free ticket into the best universities around here."

"If it's even true, Mrs Galway. I mean, I'm sure it is but proving that magic is simply a physical quantity... I literally have to change every existin formula!"
Clarita simply nodded in approval to what he said. They both knew what that meant. She thought he was capable enough of doing something such. The boy sighed but nodded.

"Alright. I understand." He said before folding the letter in half and standing up. "Well, I'll go send this now. See you soon, Mrs Galway!" He said before heading towards the door.

Smirking, he awaited the day when he'll be accepted into Hogwarts and the day when he'll prove how unmagical magic really is.

Physics never let him down and it certainly wouldn't now, after all.
